The Conception Abbey and Seminary College's capitol fundraising campaign recently received a huge boost in the form of a one million dollar gift.
Conception Abbey Abbot Benedict Neenan says the gift points the campaign over halfway toward their overall goal.
"The total campaign is $14.5 million and that will enable us to build a new dormitory for our seminarians. And also to add to our retirement endowment for elderly monks. So we're excited that we've passed the halfway mark in this relatively short amount of time. And we look forward to finishing it off in the coming year."
The Conception Abbey and Seminary College Capitol Campaign was kicked off on Ash Wednesday this past April.
